Comfort and hygiene
Nephila® combines the best features of natural fibres - comfort, an ability to insulate
and breathability, with the typical advantages of synthetic fibres - high strenght and
stain resistance. Thanks to its structure and composition, Nephila® guarantees limited
moisture absorption and optimal capillary action: thus maximizing hygiene and comfort
Ecological fibre
Nature and technology in perfect harmony. We guarantee that Nephila® is produced without
any harmful substances and is completely recyclable.
Spinning
Nephila® yarn is made by extruding polypropylene in uniquely fine
yarn counts, which is a first in the history of synthetic yarns. This new process
has made it possible to produce these materials in such fine counts, that it is no longer
necessary to search for a compromise between physical demands and wear comfort.
Finishing
Dyestuffs, and a large number of additives which determine the final characteristics of
the yarn, are embedded in the molecular structure during the extrusion process, so that
"colour-fastness", "rubbing-fastness" and "U.V. stability" reach higher values than
hitherto achieved by any other synthetic fibre. A key factor is, of course, the volume
of the yarn. Besides the comfort aspect it is also determinant in the price - and not
insignificantly at that. After extrusion, the yarn is textured by a separate process,
which enables us to precisely determine the texture and characteristics of the fibre.
